Despite political uncertainty and economic challenges, deal volumes and investor interest remained high in 2022 with 35 UK transactions and global activity up by 50% (BDO). Historically low unemployment and high vacancy levels combined with rising interest from overseas buyers and private equity investors should drive M&A activity in 2023 – but how long will the cost of money impact deals, what will achieve the highest multiples, and what part will talent tech play?
